24 Hour Vigil – Using the Great Invocation every 15 Minutes
An invitation to groups and individuals throughout Europe

Dear Friends,

Every year, since 1952, people in all parts of the world have celebrated World Invocation Day on the day of the Gemini full moon.  It is a global day of prayer and meditation when people of different spiritual paths join in a universal appeal to divinity, using the Great Invocation.

This year you are invited to link in with co-workers throughout Europe in a 24-hour Vigil for World Invocation Day.

SOUNDING THE GREAT INVOCATION EVERY 15 MINUTES

Choose a particular period or periods of time when you will hold a meditative focus and sound the Great Invocation on the quarter hour. For example: if you chose the 45 minute period from 10 – 10:45 am you will use the Great Invocation a minimum of 4 times (10.00 am; 10:15 am; 10:30 am; 10:45am).

You can participate in the Vigil as an individual or as a group.

On the rhythmic pulse of every quarter of an hour the Great Invocation will be sounded throughout Europe.

PLEASE NOTE – AS IN THE PAST MANY GROUPS WILL BE ORGANISING SPECIAL EVENTS FOR WORLD INVOCATION DAY. THIS VIGIL WILL SIMPLY BE A FURTHER ACTIVITY, ADDING TO THE CHARGE OF INVOCATIVE ENERGIES THAT ALREADY CHARACTERISE THE GEMINI FULL MOON.

Why Europe?

This Vigil initiative began in New Zealand in 2000 when it was seen as a way of helping to evoke the soul of the nation as a contribution to the wider work of evoking the soul of humanity on World Invocation Day. From 2003 onwards people throughout Latin America participated in a Vigil, and in 2006 this became a Vigil for the Americas.

Unity proceeds from nation to region to humanity as a whole. It is helpful for the community of people in Europe who value meditation and prayer to begin to think in terms of the peoples of the continent as a whole: including all the lands of Eurasia. Europe is a microcosm of the world, embracing major languages, crossing the divides of economic poverty and wealth, including small and large nations. May this Vigil contribute towards the emergence of a truly European identity, centred on Aquarian values, and a part of the One Human Family.

The Vigil is co-ordinated by Intuition in Service in close collaboration with co-workers in Denmark.
