# Månförmörkelsen i augusti

"AUGUST LUNAR ECLIPSE

This month sees a partial lunar eclipse of the Moon on August 17. This is the second of the two lunar eclipses in 2008 - the first being a total eclipse on February 20. The next lunar eclipse will occur on February 9, 2009.

The partial eclipse will be completely visible from Africa and Europe. Parts of Australia will see it begin before sunrise, while parts of South America will see it end just after sunset. The eclipse belongs to Saros series 138 - the first of which began on October 5, 1503.

According to astrologer Bernadette Brady this eclipse indicates a time of letting go of negative situations and moving into more positive ones. People who have this eclipse activating their birth charts are likely to have an increased number of options for moving forward in their lives. If you know a little about astrology then check anything in your birth chart at 24 degrees of Aquarius (or 24 degrees of Leo).

Both Neptune and Chiron are closely involved with this eclipse indicating a time of spiritual renewal, that might come from releasing disillusions and painful memories. It is time to reflect on what can be let go of, what can be forgiven and what needs to be incorporated into our lives to enable us to live closer to our true natures.

This is also true for humanity. The eclipse is likely to highlight global issues connected to the environment, world poverty and the sharing of the world's resources.

It is time to literally clear out the old and embrace a new and more authentic life."

Det hade varit coolt att följa med Borås Astronomiska ut och titta på detta!

Utanför min lägenhet var det första parkett! Stor, ljusröd augustimåne som långsamt täcktes av skugga. Har aldrig sett en så tydlig eclipse förut.
